Job Description:

My client, a 250+ bed community facility located about 45 minutes from Greenville, NC and about 50 minutes from Raleigh, has a need for a Sr Quality Officer to join their team. You will oversee both Quality and Patient Safety and have 5 FTEs. Must have a title of Quality Director to be considered.Responsibilities:

• Directs the operational, financial management and personnel resources for Quality Performance, Accreditation / Licensing, Patient Relations, Infection Prevention, Policy and Procedure Process Management, Patient Safety utilizing an Enterprise/Systems approach.
• Facilitates and coordinates hospital-wide quality management programs to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
• Facilitates compliance with core measures.
• Facilitates Hospital Patient Safety/Quality Council meetings.
• Disseminates information for the enterprise-wide quality program.
• Prepares and presents quality reports for Medical Executive Committee and Hospital Governing Board.
• Facilitates hospital risk management activities to include root cause analysis and learning from defects as required.
• Coordinates Medical Staff Peer Review process.
• Coordinates various certification, patient safety and regulatory programs, via delegation and oversight.
• The Director of Quality Management reports directly to the CEO and to The Board of Directors.Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrable improvements in healthcare quality and safety on current/previous healthcare quality roles.
• Certifications in CPHQ and CPPS or willing to achieve these within one year of employment.
