Job Summary:UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. This is a per diem position for nights.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification and obtain patient history
• Conduct CT scans and manipulate images according to protocols
• Administer oral and IV contrast to patients according to protocols
• Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, and PACS
• Perform other duties as assigned, including precepting new employees and studentsRequirements:
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employmentWorking Conditions:This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
