Job DescriptionCertified Nursing Assistant - House FloatJob
SummaryUnder the supervision of an RN, the CNA performs basic
patient care activities.Work in/float to the following areas of the
hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant: Women & Infants, Passive
Care Unite, Medical Surgical, Transport, & the Emergency
Department.Reports to: House SupervisorJob RequirementsMinimum
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.Completion
of Nursing Assistant program is required.Minimum Work
ExperienceMust have at least 6 months of relevant CNA experience.
Hospital experience is preferred.Required LicensesNursing
AssistantActive & valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
certification is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) through the
American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire is
required.Required SkillsCritical thinking skills, decisive
judgment, and the ability to work with minimal
supervision.Essential Functions
Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised
by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood
glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.Assists
patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily
living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and
ambulation.Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical,
mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Assists with
keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and
orderly.Other tasks and duties as assigned.Organizational
Expectations
MPH CNA House Float Agreement Obligations 2.9.24Must be willing to
work in/float to the following areas of the hospital: Women &
Infants, Passive Care Unite, Medical Surgical, Transport, & the
Emergency Department.Must be available a minimum of 24 hours per
week to work.Must be available to work a minimum of one winter and
one summer hospital designated holidays.Must be available to work a
least (2) weekend shifts per month. (Saturday/Sunday or night
