  • Job Details
  • Med Surg RN (this is an MS/Tele unit, but the Tele Tech's are separate) Please limit holiday RTO.
  • Some weekends/Holidays required
  • Required to be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of NC
  • 2 years Experience Preferred
  • Travel Experience Preferred
  • EMR: MEDITECH (experience not required)
  • Common pt populations/illnesses? 27 bed medical and surgical combined. General surgery and orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, general illness, sepsis
  • Patient to nurse ratio? Usually 5 patient assignment
  • Staff with 3 aids and a unit secretary
  • Orientation for travelers is typically 3 shifts. The first shift is more house-wide and general hospital, then 2 shifts of working with a nurse on the unit
  • Self scheduling model for the most part, every other weekend, schedule is 4 week
  • We are boosting up our staffing to be able to open and staff 1st medical, our overflow unit. We have a float rotation and try to float by turn.

    • Required Certs: BLS, ACLS (AHA only)
    • Required Skills: IV Start
    • State License Verification: Required as applicable.
    • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
      • Schedule Information
      • Some weekends/Holidays required
      • Self scheduling model for the most part, every other weekend, schedule is 4 week

        • 27 bed medical and surgical combined unit
        • Unit typically has 3 aids and a unit secretary
          • Additional Details
          • Proof of I9 or Attestation required.
          • Drivers License/State ID required.
          • Proof of Everify or Attestation required.
          • Residency Declaration Form required if working on a compact license.
