Process Engineer IPosition SummaryCatalent's Greenville, N.C.

I will be responsible for supporting both manufacturing and
packaging activities. The Process Engineer I will play a critical
role in creating and improving processes and procedures and
commissioning, qualification, and validation of process equipment.

Role
- Support technical activities related to new and existing
products, process optimization, process and equipment
troubleshooting and process validation.
- Manage, analyze and identify trends in data.
- Support investigations relating to manufacturing issues,
product release performance and or customer complaints.--
- Support internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies
as needed during inspections.
- Provide data gathering and analysis as needed to support
technical projects.--
- Maximize the success rate for production operations by
instituting programs to minimize human error, mechanical failure,
contaminations, and procedural error(s).
- Responsible for trouble shooting and providing corrective
action directives.
- Write standard operational procedures, standard test
procedures, master batch records and other related GMP
documents.
- All other duties as assigned.The Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or related field with experience
in process development and/or technical transfer in drug
manufacturing.
- Technical knowledge of processes/equipment.
- Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and
Excel.
- Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve
equipment problems.
- High level of safety awareness.
- Position requires the ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs
unassisted, and occasionally push and pull a maximum of 100
lbs.
- Majority of workday is performed while sitting, standing, and
walking.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine
manipulations.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, twist, and have full range of
motion in upper and lower extremities.
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases, skin and respiratory
irritants, moving machinery parts, and damp, humid and wet
