The Process Engineer I will play a critical role in creating and improving processes and procedures and commissioning, qualification, and validation of process equipment. • Support technical activities related to new and existing products, process optimization, process and equipment troubleshooting and process validation.
• Manage, analyze and identify trends in data.
• Support investigations relating to manufacturing issues, product release performance and or customer complaints.--
• Support internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed during inspections.
• Provide data gathering and analysis as needed to support technical projects.--
• Maximize the success rate for production operations by instituting programs to minimize human error, mechanical failure, contaminations, and procedural error(s).
• Responsible for trouble shooting and providing corrective action directives.
• Write standard operational procedures, standard test procedures, master batch records and other related GMP documents.
• All other duties as assigned.The Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or related field with experience in process development and/or technical transfer in drug manufacturing.
  • Technical knowledge of processes/equipment.
  • Advanced computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
  • High level of safety awareness.
  • Position requires the ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs unassisted, and occasionally push and pull a maximum of 100 lbs.
  • Majority of workday is performed while sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Ability to climb, bend, stoop, twist, and have full range of motion in upper and lower extremities.
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases, skin and respiratory irritants, moving machinery parts, and damp, humid and wet environments.Why You Should Join Catalent--
