Mechanical Engineer Do you have 3-5 years of Solid Edge or Solid Works experience? Can you convert customer needs into a CAD drawing? In this position you will work with a growing engineering team to design custom van bodies and trailers for a family owned and run leader in the field. Mickey Truck Body offers Mechanical Engineers:$65,000-$80,000 base salary depending on experienceProduction Bonuses paid bi-weekly.Paid holidays and vacation time.Health insurance/life insurance/benefits (including medical, dental & vision)Voluntary Life, Critical Illness and Accident Insurance plans401k options with company matchMechanical Engineers Primary Responsibilities: Develop engineering drawing packages using CAD for release to production on numerous product lines.Design & validate parts, components, tooling, and fixturing using CAD that fulfill both regulatory & quality requirements.Analyze problems or deficiencies & develop effective robust solutions to resolve them.Develop & verify technical documentation such as operational manuals, technical support, standard operational procedures, etc.Confirms system and product capabilities and reliability by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties, along with conducting required testing & validation cycles.Provide technical support to Sales, Service, & Operations Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.Support ERP implementation through accurate product BOM management & system integration Mechanical Engineer Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent 3-5 years of prior work experienceSoftware experience required:Solid EdgeSolidWorksMS Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Able to responsibly handle confidential information.Mechanical Engineer Preferred Qualifications: Autodesk InventoryTeamcenterEquipment and machine designSheet metal fabricationExperience in design and manufacturing of heavy equipmentLean Manufacturing principles and implementationEngineering design of parts and fixtures Work Environment: Manufacturing Work Environment that will at times provide exposure to weather, noise intensity level, and proximity to moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to routinely sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to keyboard, turn handles, feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch. The employee occasionally moves around the office and enters the manufacturing areas.Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
