Job Description:
Duties: Supports the design, development, implementation, and
delivery of Defined Benefits applications, according to Agile and
Waterfall methodologies. Executes analysis for medium-sized projects.
Writes complex SQL statements and stored procedures for data analysis. Performs
JIRA story writing, estimations, and story grooming. Primary Responsibilities: • Works with business partners and technology partners to
identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of
business and/or system requirements and processes. • Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology
projects culminating in the creation of documentation to support project
needs. • Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve requirements, and recommends designs for new systems based on
requirements. • Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and
specifications. • Monitors documentation standards and best practices. • Recommends traceability improvements. • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope, and
works on multiple projects concurrently. • Works directly with the user community for project
definition. • Provides input to project plan information, objectives,
development effort analysis, estimations, and deliverables. • Works on complex assignments and on multiple phases of a
project. • Assists in defining analysis strategy. • Writes business cases for review. • Identifies and records risks, issues, dependencies, and
assumptions in accordance with project standards. • Participates in the review and validation of Quality Assurance
test plans to ensure requirements have been met. • Converts business requirements to functional requirements in
System Design Specification. • Performs gap analysis between the current and future
system. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
designing, implementing, and supporting Defined Benefits applications;
Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1)
year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
designing, implementing, and supporting Defined Benefits applications.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing project
scope planning and systems analysis, according to Agile methodologies
for requirements elicitation, design, development, quality
assurance, and production rollout of high-scale secure customer-facing
websites, using Enterprise Jira to manage development stories for Defined
Benefits applications, including pension plans, retirement/payment
initiation process, pension plan tax rules, pension calculations, and
payment disbursement process; DE conducting project estimations,
analyzing system dependencies, and performing systems analysis and design,
including requirements gathering, documentation, data mining, and
functional design; writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures in a Sybase
environment; and using UML tools for object and data modeling on multiple
platforms – Linux, UNIX, and Windows; DE utilizing enterprise tools to
execute project deliverables - JIRA, Confluence, Control M, XML Spy, and XMind –
according to Waterfall and Agile methodologies; DE producing project
deliverables in the form of System Delivery Specification (SDS), Technical
System Design (TSD), and Transition (TRA) documents, Responsibility Assignment
Matrix (RACI), Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), and test
