Job Description:

Duties: Collaborates with application and business partners to execute a

multi-year data strategy roadmap for Data Management. Draws on in-depth

knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit wide

solutions by developing database architecture and modeling for various

asset management divisions. Researches and recommends new technologies in

support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in

the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and

technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages and provides leadership to a distributed team of data

engineers that focus on projects ranging from multi-year key initiatives to

tactical development and maintenance.

• Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to

architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.

• Identifies and consults with internal and external technical

resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.

• Consults on development and delivery of major technology

initiatives for the business unit.

• Consults on deployment of major project deliverables.

• Consults on the documentation of major technology application.

• Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or

company architectural components.

• Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or

external groups to resolve issues.

• Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.

• Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.

• Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to

multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide

projects.

• Advises senior management on technical strategy.

• Manages data products and responsible for identifying project

priorities.

• Identifies and plans for future resource needs.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of

experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience performing

Oracle database development within a financial services environment; Or,

alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of

experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience performing

Oracle database development within a financial services environment.

Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) managing data

products and executing large multi-year initiatives on different types of

data platforms, including Operational Data Store and data warehouses; DE

implementing index and security master reference data systems to centralize

and manage reference data across the firm; DE supporting and integrating

PolarLake products in data acquisition space; DE leading a cross-matrixed

team of developers in Test-driven development according to Agile

methodologies.
