Job Description:
Duties: Designs, develops, and executes software to ensure the
quality of Fidelity’s trading platform, according to Agile and Test Driven
Development methodologies. Writes, defines, and develops automated test
plans and test cases. Builds end-to-end continuous integration/delivery
automation solutions for assigned projects, including front-end,
middle-tier services, and back-end data providers. Assists with planning, designing,
and executing testing within a complex project. Primary Responsibilities: • Creates test plans, data, procedures, and manual and/or
automated scripts. • Participates in code reviews and formal reviews of
application designs, business, and functional requirements. • Writes complete and accurate reports on software problems. • Identifies and suggests quality process improvements focused
on defect prevention. • Creates systems and business relevant test cases. • Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for
test execution. • Assists in development of in-house testing tools. • Executes manual and/or automated test scripts for complex
projects. • Works with project team to establish testing entrance and
exit criteria. • Ensures execution of project regression test tasks. • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. • Works directly with the user community for project
definition. • Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. • Recommends strategies and methods to improve test plans and
test processes. • Analyzes and reports test status and results. • Identifies test issues and reports to project manager and
business. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
creating frameworks and writing automation scripts for Web-based
applications and Service APIs within a financial services environment; Or,
alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of
experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience creating frameworks
and writing automation scripts for Web-based applications and Service APIs
within a financial services environment. Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) creating and maintaining automation frameworks
and automation scripts using Java, C# .NET, and JavaScript; DE
performing Test Driven Development using testing frameworks (Mocha, Selenium,
Jasmine, and Karma); implementing front-end build process using Grunt and
Gulp; and integrating the build with CI and CD processes; DE designing and
developing dynamic rich Web financial analysis tools and workflow
applications, using SOA, ASP.NET, C#, AngularJS, Knockout, and Entity Framework; DE
developing Web services (SOAP and REST) using JSON and XML formats;
performing application build, deployment, and support, using Maven, Ant,
